TEACHING TOOLS - Temple Emanuel, Winston-Salem NC

Connect

Rabbi Mark Strauss-Cohn of Temple Emanuel, Winston-Salem NC, writes:

"These posters have been amazing as teaching tools.  We mounted them on foam board.  I have used them with our 3rd-7th graders during our morning Tefilah (services), teaching about the artist, the writer [of the quote], and the fusion of the two.

Kids have seen incredible things in the artwork and elaborated on the quotes magnificently.  (Well, sometimes more magnificently than other times.)

I have used the posters with our Temple Board as well to inspire and generate discussion at the start of our board meetings.

Here is a PowerPoint I prepared to engage students with the posters and other"works by the same artists."
